Dr Michael J. Martirano, Superintendent of Howard County Public School System along with the Chair & members of the Board of Education and other officials attended the Friday Sermon and Prayers @ Dar al Taqwa, Islamic Center in Ellicott City, Maryland.

During Jumuah Khutbah, special prayers were offered, providing support to the victims and their families in Christchurch New Zealand. It was also emphasized in the light of Quran & teachings of Rasool SAW; that we all should become proactive, working together in dealing with the affairs of the human society, strive to create an environment of working together in peace, harmony and prosperity for all mankind.

In this regard, the knowledge-based education at all levels can play a pivotal role; it is for this reason that the leadership at DAT invited, Dr Michel Martirano of the Howard County Educational System.
